the first furniture collection by terra coll home reimagines ancient mediterranean joinery and grass-weaving in sensuous, sculptural shapes for informal living.

envisioned by the studio as an invitation to experience memory and invention within the changing mediterranean home, the rush collection is made entirely by hand in mallorca, carved from reclaimed oak and strung with rush grown and harvested in the island’s wetlands. the chairs and stools feature suggestively curved legs entwined with raw, thick strands of cattail reeds hand-braided in exaggerated proportions.

as the traditional materials engage with the contemporary forms, and the rustic weight of the rush engages with the soft curves of the oak, the result is at once voluptuous and elegant.
